Last year Miley Cyrus was the big story of the VMAs after her controversial performance with Robin Thicke. She also made news this year, but for a more positive reason. After she won video of the year for 'Wrecking Ball,' Cyrus sent a young homeless man onstage to accept the award and tell his story to raise awareness for runaways and homeless youth. It was also a big night for Beyonce, who won three awards and was given the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award.
