With more than 2.4 million cars sold worldwide, the Mercedes C-Class Benz is the bestselling Mercedes-Benz in the world. While some folks consider it to be the company’s “Baby Benz”, Mercedes says their redesigned model is all grown up. As our reviewer explains, the new C-Class moves up a notch because of the advent of its smaller sibling, the front-wheel drive CLA. Test Drive: Mercedes C-Class
The “C” in C-Class may stand for compact, but Mercedes says their latest C-Class car is not that much different from the Mercedes E-Class of some years ago. No doubt, this mid-size luxury/performance Benz is all grown up. Currently available in either a 300 or 400 version, both cars produce a decent amount of “get up and go.” The 300 features a turbocharged 241 horsepower 2.0-liter four cylinder engine, while the performance focused 400 delivers 329 horsepower thanks to its bi-turbo 3.0-liter V6 powertrain.
