I'm an oatmeal girl. Most days, even in summer, I begin my day with a bowl of oatmeal. All that changes is what I add to it. In colder months, I add a little milk and cinnamon or maple syrup; in the warmer months, I top it with berries. Sometimes I think I ought to live a little and eat something different. Here are some options that sound appealing.

Blueberry Granola
Granola is one of those health foods that has the reputation for being both healthy and unhealthy. How can that be? Well, many of the commercial brands have a lot of fat, sugar, and fillers. You're far better off making your own. The other thing to remember is that a serving size of granola is much less than that of most regular cereals.
