Mi Corazón Pertenece a España
I hope my Spanish is correct! The first time I boarded a plane, I flew all the way from New York to... Spain! I was a high school junior with four years of Spanish study under my belt and zero international travel experience. That trip with classmates boosted my confidence and ignited my wanderlust. I kept a journal... not realizing it was the first of many travel accounts I would one day write. My colleague Damian Corrigan's heart is in Spain, too, and he'll tell you about all of Spain's best things to do.
| I Should Have Moved to Maui
I spent a week in Hawaii when I was 19, and I distinctly remember picking up a newspaper and scanning the Help Wanted ads because I did not want to leave. Maui was the island that most enchanted me, and whenever I miss paradise, I look through Hawaii Expert John Fischer's wonderful photos taken along the Haleakala Highway and on the Road to Hana.

I honeymooned on Belize's largest island, Ambergris Caye, and flew back to the U.S. on September 10, 2001. It was such an easy, carefree trip. But if we had stayed one more day, we would have been stuck in Central America for a week.
