From Colleen Graham, your Guide to Cocktails

August is nearly over and Review Month continues. On tap this week are two liqueurs I highly recommend you try if you haven't already. This weekend I have a big announcement for aficionados of fine Scotch and next week will be a menagerie of new tequilas, popular gins, and a few cocktail books.

Also included this week is the reveal of the frozen cocktail contest winner and as many summer drinks as I can fit in the newsletter to help you celebrate these last hot days of the year. Cheers!

Cocktail of the Week: Bahama Mama

Summer is not over yet and it may be time to revisit one of the best tropical cocktails out there. If you haven't enjoyed a Bahama Mama lately, here is your chance. It is filled with two rums, coconut, coffee, pineapple, and lemon and is always a crowd favorite. Get the recipe...

Frozen Cocktail Contest Winner: Sriracha Mexican Rodeo
First up this week is the announcement that we have a winner in the July Frozen Cocktail Contest and it is a saucy one. The Sriracha Mexican Rodeo was created by James Hollmer from Dallas, Texas and is a fun twist on the frozen Margarita. The key ingredients that got our taste buds jumping? Jalapeno, cucumber, and Sriracha-flavored salt! Also, you have to check out the other drinks that made it into the finals, a boozy milkshake with a number of twists and a frozen delight that includes, of all things, Campari... It has been in European markets for some time, but it is finally available to the U.S. and it is a wonderful gift... Read more and explore the recipes

Godiva Chocolate Liqueurs and Vodkas
When it comes to chocolate, few producers can do it better than a company known for its gourmet chocolate treats and Godiva is one of the best in the world. Though the chocolate liqueurs are not new and have been a personal favorite for years, I thought that this would be a good time to explore the full portfolio they offer. From the signature dark chocolate to the white chocolate, and the newer additions of Mocha, Caramel, and two fun chocolate vodkas, few brands can beat the sweet creamy taste of Godiva... Last Week: Lemonade Cocktail Contest
You have just a few more days to share your tart lemonade recipes in this month's contest. I will be closing submissions Sunday night, so be sure to get your lemonade cocktails or mocktails in before then... Last chance to enter
