From Amanda Rock, your About Parenting Editor

Ways to Practice Spelling Words
Every year, it's the same spelling homework assignments for my kids: write out the spelling list, put the words in ABC order, and then use each word in a sentence. I wonder if she got her ideas from Amanda.

Wherever your child does his or her homework, Katherine says there are some setting up guidelines you should consider following to maximize the effectiveness of the space.

Does Cramming Help with Studying for Tests?
As much as I tell both my kids that they need to always be reviewing their notes, I usually find them the day before the test studying frantically. They may think there is a method to their madness, but Ann confirms what I've known all along, and offers up some effective study tips.
