| A farewell to No. 42: Top 10 players to wear number
According to Baseball-Reference.com, 545 players have worn No. 42 in big-league history. After Sunday, aside from signage in every big-league ballpark, it will only be seen on one day a year, April 15. That's the day reserved for Jackie Robinson, when every player wears the number. On Sunday in Houston, it will still just be Mariano Rivera for one final day.
