As we draw to the end of the year and my thoughts turn to 2014, I've really been giving a lot of thought to what I would like to change about myself. A lot of my resolutions are for just me, but some of them involve my family, and what we can do to become even closer.

Resolutions for Parents
A lot of my resolutions involve me spending more quality time with my kids. Of course I spend a lot of time with them already, sure, but I need to focus less on the screen that resides in my pocket and more on them. Dr. Iannelli has some other great ideas.

Resolutions for the Family
It seems that Laureen has been thinking about the new year too. She has complied a great list of resolutions for everyone in the family -- from kids to adults -- and for every aspect of life -- personal and professional.

Taking Back the Family Weekend
One of my resolutions this year involves taking a good, hard look at why we are always so frazzled, especially on weekends. My kids do a lot both before and after school, and on Saturdays and Sundays as well. What I'd like to do is evaluate it all and see if we can rework the schedule a little bit. Katherine explains how.
