Some of the artists with releases this year include Mastodon, Gojira, Five Finger Death Punch, Motorhead and more. Here's a selection of Record Store Day releases in those genres. | Blues Albums Available on Record Store Day 2014 So, what's on your blues shopping list for Record Store Day 2014? Exclusive releases include the Allman Brothers Band's Selections From Play All Night, a 12" vinyl album excerpting performances from the band's 1992 Beacon Theatre show (which was released in its entirety on CD a month or so ago). An interesting exclusive is the vinyl reissue of Big Mama Thornton's Sassy Mama, a 1975 album whose RSD release was voted on by fans at the Vanguard Records website. | Record Store Day History Ever since the first one in 2008, Record Store Day has grown from a single day annual event to a year round celebration/promotion of the world's locally owned, independent record stores. RSD has grown rapidly by focusing attention on the institution that was once the center of the musical universe for artists and their fans. | | | | Related Searches | | | | Featured Articles | | | | | | Sign up for more free newsletters on your favorite topics | | | | You are receiving this newsletter because you subscribed to the About.com Music newsletter.
