From Colleen Graham, your Guide to Cocktails

Drink trends come and go and right now I am seeing one particular drink everywhere and made in many different ways. So today we are going to revisit the Moscow Mule as well as another often misconstrued drink.

For those of you celebrating the Fourth of July this weekend, yesterday's edition is filled with drink ideas and you can find the archive here.

Have a great weekend and stay safe. Cheers!

Drink of the Week: Chocolate Margarita
Chocolate Margarita

There are a number of Chocolate Margarita recipes available and they are a great indulgence for summer. What I dislike about many of them is that they are too chocolaty and have no contrasting flavors to add interest. Then There is the Lynchburg Lemonade
Lynchburg Lemonade

It's popular, yes, but misconstrued more often than not and I admit to being duped when I was just a young drinker as well. Here it is: Lynchburg Lemonade is not simply Jack Daniel's and lemonade. While that is a great drink, it is not the real deal.

Straight from the source, a real Lynchburg Lemonade is made of 1 part each JD, triple sec, and sour mix with 4 parts lemon-lime soda. It is slightly more complicated, but has a better balance, is more refreshing, and worth the extra 2 minutes of effort needed. Get the Lynchburg Lemonade recipe...
