Last week saw the release of one of the year’s most anticipated games, but as Eric found out, the reality may not live up to the hype. Charles was also a little disappointed that the Wii U’s controls were not taken better advantage of in the game he played, and Nadia looks at game that’s getting a nice port but might disappoint if it isn’t available outside of Japan. Meanwhile, Brian found the game he reviewed really only disappointing in comparison to its own predecessor, Michael picks out some horror games that won’t disappoint at all, and Brittany was somewhat let down by a “cheap thrill ride.”

'Destiny' Review (XONE, X360)
It seems like everyone was raving about ‘Destiny,’ but since the game’s release, little notes of doubt have crept in. Eric found the gameplay solid, but pretty much everything else not as good as it should have been. READ NOW

As Charles points out, the Wii U and its gamepad would seem to be the perfect system for playing real-time strategy games, and this game featuring blocky soldiers tries out the hypothesis. ‘Xenoblade’ Wii and New 3DS Graphics Comparison
‘Xenoblade,’ a much-loved RPG for the original Wii, is going to be ported to the upcoming New 3DS handheld (not to be confused with the current 3DS). Nadia looks at how the port fares on its new platform, and covers what is and isn’t known about where and when the game will be released. READ NOW
 
‘The Walking Dead’ Season Two Finale Review (PS3)
With this final installment of the episodic game series, Brian looks back at the whole game and concludes that while it’s good, it didn’t quite hit the greatness of the first season. Here’s hoping the next season will be even better. READ NOW
