The Angels, the best team in the American League during the regular season, got swept in the ALDS, as did the AL Central-winning Tigers. The two best teams in the National League, the Nationals and Dodgers, did a little better. They each won a game in the NLDS but are both out of the picture now too. That’s why they play the games and we keep watching.
