Whether you just want to sell one or two items to family and friends to raise a little extra cash or start a full blown new career, knowing just how to get started is important for any artist or crafter wanting to take this step. I've had a number of small businesses selling my handmade items over the years. I've sold items either to raise some money to fuel a craft supply buying spree or more seriously as a full-career.
