From Sarah White, your About Needlecrafts Editor
April showers may bring May flowers, but the beginning of spring has me longing for a floral infusion. If the flowers aren't yet growing where you are, perhaps you can craft some with these fun ideas. Happy crafting!

Crocheted Flower Motif
This pretty little flower made with treble crochet stitches is perfect for an advanced beginner and is a great way to make flowers to embellish another project. It's worked in medium weight yarn, so it's a pretty fast project, too.

Arne & Carlos Knit-and-Crochet Garden
This delightful book of stash-busting crafts inspired by the garden is fun for knitters, crocheters and those who enjoy embroidery. It's also just pretty and inspiring even if you never make any of the projects out of it.

Make Your Own Hair Flowers
My daughter has no interest in anything cute to hold back her wild hair, but if you know a little girl who likes ribbons and bows, these easy hair flowers should make your to craft list.

Flower Basket Quilt Block
The flower basket is a classic quilting pattern that's a great way to use up scraps. Make a really colorful garden by using different colored flowers in each block and you'll have a quilt to treasure.
